- Gyung-suk Cries Out to Sahng-jeh-nim
- 1 After Sahng-jeh-nim’s ascension to heaven, Cha Gyung-suk could not endure the intense grief.
- 2 He went to the top of Bee-ryohng Mountain, west of Dae-heung Village. He lamented Sahng-jeh-nim’s death for seven days, crying out to the sky, “Ohk-hwahng Sahng-jeh-nim! Ohk-hwahng Sahng-jeh-nim!”
- 3 To his surprise, Gyung-suk heard someone calling him from behind. He turned and saw that it was Sahng-jeh-nim.
- 4 Dumbfounded, Gyung-suk bowed his head down to the ground.
- 5 Sahng-jeh-nim said, “I am not dead. Go down and take care of matters.
- 6 There will come a day when I return.” Then, Sahng-jeh-nim disappeared.
