• The Fate of Cha Gyung-suk
  • Around March 15, 1932, Tae-mo-nim sent Chae Yu-joong to Yohng-hwa Village with the message that the work in Wahng-shim Village was finished and She would return to Yohng-hwa Village on the twentieth.
  • On the nineteenth, Ee Sung-yung came to Wahng-shim Village to escort Tae-mo-nim home. That night, Tae-mo-nim conducted a work of renewal in which She had Ee Sung-yung and Ee Yohng-ghee stand facing Bo-chun-gyo’s new building in Dae-heung Village.
  • She asked Sung-yung, “Gyung-suk has betrayed Sahng-jeh-nim and is ruining the future of millions of followers. What do you think should be done?”
  • He answered, “It is said, ‘Those who betray the benevolent and are ungrateful will die ten thousand deaths.’ He deserves to die.”
  • “The construction of this building bled dry millions of followers. What should be done with it when it becomes useless?”
  • “Since it will have become useless,” he replied, “I think it will be appropriate to tear it down.”
Tae-mo-nim asked him the same question three times to confirm his answer.
  • Then, She said, “The good lasts five years; the evil lasts five years.” With this, She kicked Sung-yung in the leg, causing him to fall.
  • In 1936, five years later, Cha Gyung-suk died, and the many large buildings belonging to his organization, including Palace Eleven, the building of which Tae-mo-nim spoke, were all torn down by the authorities.
