- 1 “If you give your utmost effort to the work under heaven, using all your strength and persevering through hardship and suffering, and you still are unable to accomplish what you desired,
- 2 you will be welcomed in heaven by the spirits of those from the past who also dedicated themselves to the work under heaven but could not achieve what they desired because the time was not yet right.
- 3 These welcoming spirits will lead you to a seat of honor and praise your efforts, saying, ‘You have done well.’
- 4 They will give you rare and precious gifts and celebrate with you. What grief could you have when you enjoy all the splendor of heaven?”
