- The Structure of Heaven
- 1 One day, Gim Sohng-hwahn asked, “Is there another heaven above heaven?”
“There is,” Sahng-jeh-nim replied.
- 2 Sohng-hwahn then asked, “Is there another heaven above that heaven?”
“Yes, there is,” Sahng-jeh-nim answered again.
- 3 Sahng-jeh-nim gave the same answer nine times, then said, “Do not try to know any more.”
- Life and Death
- 5 Sahng-jeh-nim said, “Death is not far away. Just beyond the doorstep lies the hereafter.
- 6 I live and die at will.”
- 7 On another occasion, He said,
- 8 “Life comes from death,
- 9 death comes from life.”
