- A Journey Producing Five Holy Sages
- 1 On the day He left the water mill, Sahng-jeh-nim stopped wearing the bamboo hat and started wearing formal attire. Accompanied by Gyung-suk, He set out for Jung-eup County.
- 2 On the way, they stopped in Wun-pyung Village, where there was a crowd of people. Sahng-jeh-nim said to the people, “This journey is the voyage of the Ship of South Joseon. It will depart after the cargo has been loaded.”
- 3 He then invited all passersby to an inn and treated them to rice wine.
- 4 “This journey will produce five holy sages,” He said, but no one understood His meaning.
- 5 Sahng-jeh-nim left the inn, saying, “A great army marches thirty lee a day.”
- 6 Following Sahng-jeh-nim’s words, Gyung-suk ceased the day’s travel in Sohl-ahn Village. There, he introduced Sahng-jeh-nim to Bahk Gohng-ooh, who lived at the Chey family’s memorial rites house.
