• All Will Go Well from Now On
  • As they passed through Gwa-gyo Village on their way to Gu-rit-gohl Village, Gohng-ooh burst into tears.
  • Remembering the many hardships he suffered in his years as an Eastern Learning adherent, he wept more sorrowfully.
  • Sahng-jeh-nim turned back and asked, “What makes you cry so sadly?”
  • Gohng-ooh’s voice choked with sorrow. “I do not know why, but I am reminded now of every hardship I suffered in the past. I cannot stop crying.”
  • “Do not cry. I will see that from now on all will go well for you,” said Sahng-jeh-nim. Gohng-ooh soon stopped weeping.
  • Bahk Gohng-ooh’s Faith
  • In the winter, while hauling water, Bahk Gohng-ooh’s wife slipped on an icy road, seriously injuring her lower back and legs. Unable to move about, she was bedridden.
  • Deeply worried, Gohng-ooh offered a bowl of fresh water in the direction of where Sahng-jeh-nim was staying and prayed fervently for her recovery. It was not long before his wife recovered from her injuries.
  • When Gohng-ooh saw Sahng-jeh-nim later, Sahng-jeh-nim smiled and said, “You worried so much about your wife’s condition.”
  • Sahng-jeh-nim Relieves Burdened Minds
  • Whenever a disciple worried about something, all he had to do was mention it to Sahng-jeh-nim. By doing so, the problem was solved.
  • 10 If the disciple continued to be concerned about it, Sahng-jeh-nim would say consolingly, “Do not worry anymore. I already know.”
