• Crossing a River in One Leap
  • Ee Ja-ik, a young Christian minister in Wun-pyung Village, took off his clothes to cross a river swollen with heavy rain.
  • Sahng-jeh-nim came up to him. “Reverend Ee, shall I take you across the river?”
  • Grateful, Ja-ik said, “Yes, please.” He put his clothes back on.
  • Sahng-jeh-nim wrapped one arm around him and leaped clear across the wide river.
  • Sahng-jeh-nim’s Clothes Never Get Wet
  • Even in deep water and in heavy rain, Sahng-jeh-nim’s clothes never got wet.
  • One rainy day, with Ho-yun on His back, Sahng-jeh-nim crossed a swollen stream by walking on the water.
  • The disciples following could also walk on the water if they kept up with Him. If they fell behind, they would sink and the current would carry them away.
  • Seeing a disciple being taken by the current, Sahng-jeh-nim shouted, “Reach out to Me!”
  • Panic-stricken, the disciple called out for Sahng-jeh-nim, who said, “He seeks Me even on the brink of death.” Right after this, the drowning man rose up and walked on the water again.
  • Strong Hands
  • 10 Sahng-jeh-nim’s hand never bled, even if cut with a knife.
  • 11 Once, Sahng-jeh-nim told Ho-yun that she could try to cut His hand. “Really?” she said and tried to do so. But no matter how hard she tried, she was unable to cut Him.
  • 12 Also, Sahng-jeh-nim was so strong that iron would become soft and pliant in His grip.
