- Sahng-jeh-nim Visits a Castle Under the Sea
- 1 Carrying Ho-yun on His back, Sahng-jeh-nim went into a cave.
- 2 He said to her, “I cannot move My arms. Move up a little. Sit over on this side. Sit here.”
- 3 As Ho-yun moved, she did not pay attention to what was going on around them, but suddenly she realized that rather than being in a cave, they were floating in the middle of the sea.
- 4 “Now we will go to the Dragon Castle under the sea,” Sahng-jeh-nim said. “When we enter, do not speak a word.
- 5 Just watch Me. If at some point I want you to sit, then remain seated quietly. Do not even call out to Me.” Sahng-jeh-nim and Ho-yun went deep into the sea.
- 6 Under the sea, in front of the castle gate, there was a huge water wheel. Sahng-jeh-nim stood on the water wheel and moved it with His feet while singing.
- 7 Many people came out and watched Him curiously. They asked, “Why are You spinning an empty water wheel?” Without replying, Sahng-jeh-nim continued to sing and spin the wheel.
- 8 Then, they asked Ho-yun, “Who is that person?” But Ho-yun also did not answer. They shoved her and asked, “Are you mute?”
- 9 Ho-yun still did not say anything. She just looked at Sahng-jeh-nim. Sahng-jeh-nim closed His eyes, and Ho-yun also closed hers and kept still.
- 10 Getting angrier, one of the people said, “I don’t know if this is a human or what!” They pushed Ho-yun more, rolling her this way and that way.
- 11 Only then did Sahng-jeh-nim come down from the wheel. And He said, “Hey you! Why are you pushing the child like that?” He slapped them hard and, with one kick, knocked them down.
