• The Head Disciple Go Min-hwahn and
a Work of Renewal for Governing with the Seven Stars
  • One day, upon selecting Go Min-hwahn as Her head disciple, Tae-mo-nim conducted a work of renewal for governing with the Seven Stars.
  • She told Gahng Eung-chil, “Bring your hat and coat here.” She put them on, making Herself look like a man.
  • Then, She told Min-hwahn, “Bring Me your clothes.” She changed into them.
  • She had Min-hwahn wear Her own clothes to look like a woman and made him remain in Her room.
  • After a while, Tae-mo-nim went outside and said, “I am Jeung-san.
  • Add seven to Min-hwahn’s age of forty and it becomes My age of forty-seven. Subtract seven from My age, forty-seven, and it becomes Min-hwahn’s age of forty.
  • Min-hwahn is My alternate and Jeung-san’s alternate as well.”
  • Seven Young Men and the Seven Stars Program
  • Tae-mo-nim then conducted a work of renewal in which She selected seven young men to establish the Seven Stars Program. She had them wear new clothes and assist in Her work.
  • She said, “The basis of all creative change lies in the union of spirits and humans.”
  • 10 She then had Go Min-hwahn sit on a ba-dook board, hung a scale on him, and said, “You will manage only the scale.”
  • 11 She announced, “I will put Min-hwahn in charge of all matters.”
  • 12 Wearing men’s clothes, Tae-mo-nim stayed in the guest room for three days and drank only rice wine without eating anything.
  • 13 Since Tae-mo-nim consulted Min-hwahn in conducting all dojang affairs, the disciples believed him to be Her successor.
  • 14 The Gahngs of Jo-johng Village harbored discontentment because, during Her work of renewal, Tae-mo-nim had not worn Gahng Eung-chil’s clothes and had conferred the program on Min-hwahn. The Gahngs’ disgruntlement began on the night of this work of renewal.
  • Bringing Forth the People of the Later Heaven
  • 15 Tae-mo-nim then said, “The work of renewal involving the Seven Stars is the work of bringing forth the people of the Later Heaven. It is the work of giving birth to and nurturing these people.
  • 16 The qi of the Later Heaven is the Seven Stars Program, which nurtures people. The coming world will be managed by the Seven Stars.”
  • 17 She also said, “Sahng-jeh-nim’s work of renewal is for giving birth. My work of renewal is for nurturing.”
  • 18 One day, Tae-mo-nim said, “The Seven Stars Program is the program that concludes the work of renewal.”
