- 1 One night, in Bee-jahng Valley, Jeung-san sat on a rock next to a brook. Oh Geum-hae, a sixteen-year-old monk of Geum-sahn Temple, was attending on Him at the time.
- 2 Jeung-san said, “Bring Me a bowl of water.”
- 3 As the monk went to get the water, he looked back at Jeung-san sitting on the rock and saw Him shining like the sun.
- 4 The light was so bright that ants could be seen crawling on the ground,
- 5 and the monk had to look away.
