- 1 Gim Bo-gyung kept a concubine in Gohm-gae Village and neglected to care for his family.
- 2 Sahng-jeh-nim gave him a piece of writing and said, “Burn this when you are seated face to face with your concubine. It will bring you good luck.”
- 3 He did this and, to his surprise, contracted severe gonorrhea. He went home for about a month to recover, and in the meantime, the concubine ran away.
- 4 Sahng-jeh-nim summoned Bo-gyung and admonished him. “Peace in the family is the beginning of good fortune. Love your wife and do not forsake her.” Sahng-jeh-nim then cured him of the disease.
