- 3 Finally, a handsome young man, who looked to be of noble birth, came to Sahng-jeh-nim. With head bowed and hands pressed together, the young man wept, begging for his life.
- 4 “You should have come at the first call!” Sahng-jeh-nim thundered. “How dare you wait until after the third time!”
- 5 With a piece of charcoal, Sahng-jeh-nim made a dot between the young man’s eyebrows, and immediately the man left.
- 6 Not long after, Gim Gahp-chil, having found the corpse of a handsome man near Suh-chun Bridge, came to tell Sahng-jeh-nim about it.
- 7 Sahng-jeh-nim explained, “Because he, the master of Northern Learning, was destined to massacre many innocent people, heaven has punished him.”
