- Counting the Number of Survivors
- 1 One night in Jeonju County, amid dozens of disciples, Sahng-jeh-nim said,
- 2 “I am now going to count the number of people in each race and nation to be saved from the catastrophic disease during the final stage of this world.”
- 3 He walked out into the yard and looked up at the dark clouds shrouding the sky.
- 4 He said to the disciples, “The number of stars that appear in the sky will represent the number of people. I will now open the sky and count the number of those to survive gae-byuk.”
- 5 Facing the southern sky, He said, “Let us see the numbers for Japan and China.” He stomped His foot, and the dark clouds receded from the southern sky, revealing a number of stars.
- 6 After Sahng-jeh-nim had announced the numbers of those who would survive in China and Japan, the black clouds covered the sky again.
- 7 “Let us now look at the West,” He said and stomped His foot. Dark clouds gave way to stars for a brief period and then covered the sky.
- 8 Sahng-jeh-nim announced the number of those who would survive in the West.
- 9 He then said, “Let us now see Korea’s number.” He stomped His foot, and again the dark clouds withdrew and stars appeared.
- 10 He said, “Now I know the number.”
