• Gim Gahp-jin Is Cured
  • For years, Gim Gahp-jin suffered from leprosy. His face, hands, and feet were swollen, and his eyebrows had fallen out.
  • In December 1904, after Sahng-jeh-nim returned to Gu-rit-gohl Village from a journey, Gahp-jin, who had heard of Sahng-jeh-nim’s divine power, went to Him and pleaded to be healed.
  • Sahng-jeh-nim had him stand outside the gate and face the house.
  • He then had Hyung-yul and a couple of others recite Zhu Xi’s “Preface to the Commentary on The Great Learning,” then sent Gahp-jin home. Not long after, Gahp-jin’s leprosy was cured.
