- Tae-mo-nim Speaks in English to Western Spirits
- 1 One day, six or seven disciples were sitting with Tae-mo-nim, having some food and rice wine. To their surprise, She lifted Her cup and began speaking in English.
- 2 The disciples watched Her without understanding what She was saying. A few hours later, She went to the gate and motioned as if bidding farewell to someone.
- 3 Then, She returned to the table and said, “Spirits from the West who came to see Me said, ‘Let us strengthen the ties of friendship.’ They also asked to be protected in the future and pleaded that I grant the West blessings in the future. I consented and sent them on their way back.”

- 5 Tae-mo-nim said, “When you are traveling outside the region in which you live and work, you are escorted and guided by the spirits of the county, province, or nation you are visiting.
- 6 Fish live in the water where there are no walls or boundaries, but even they do not go beyond their habitat.
- 7 It is like this for the way of spirits and for human affairs. When you leave for another region, regional spirits escort you, hand over their guardianship to the next region’s spirits, and then return.”
