• Returning to Dae-heung Village with the Medicine Cabinet
  • On the morning of the twenty-ninth, Hyung-yul came to Tae-mo-nim and spoke of his daughter’s death.
  • Tae-mo-nim said with compassion, “That is such a pity.” She gave him a large sum of money, saying, “Use this for her funeral.”
  • Later that day, Tae-mo-nim put on a bridal headdress and a colorful bridal gown that She had borrowed from Yu Eung-hwa of Doh-deum-shil Village, and She then got into a sedan chair.
  • From Wun-pyung Village, She left for Dae-heung Village. Ahead of Her, the followers carried the medicine cabinet and everything else from the medicine room.
  • She looked like a bride being carried to Her new home with Her clothing chest in front of Her.
  • This was the fulfillment of Sahng-jeh-nim’s words, “The medicine cabinet will soon be Your clothing chest.”
  • Upon returning to Dae-heung Village, She placed the cabinet and other items inside Her room and pasted the poems on the wall.
  • She rolled up the wallpaper and stored it in the attic. Everyone in the house thought this strange.
  • She then held a chee-sung in front of the medicine cabinet. This fulfilled Sahng-jeh-nim’s words, “The medicine cabinet will be Your vessel for enshrining spirit tablets.”
  • The Foundation of Tae-mo-nim’s Dao Organization
  • 10 After everything was arranged, Tae-mo-nim summoned Sahng-jeh-nim’s disciples to assemble.
  • 11 When they met Her, they marveled at Her supernatural power.
  • 12 Until then, they had been deeply dispirited by the sudden death of Sahng-jeh-nim. Confused, they had lost hope of finding a good world of prosperity and blessings through serving Him.
  • 13 In October 1911, in accordance with the way of spirits, Tae-mo-nim opened the Po-jung-so, the Center for Governing Dao’s Conveyance, and declared the foundation of Her dao organization.
  • 14 With renewed faith, the disciples came to Dae-heung Village to follow Her. She designated Gyung-suk’s house as the center and had the disciples go in every direction to convey Sahng-jeh-nim’s teachings.
  • 15 This was the beginning of the organized movement to spread the great dao of Sahng-jeh-nim in Korea.
