- Tae-mo-nim Prays to Heaven and Earth
- 1 Tae-mo-nim often said, “Regard heaven and earth as you regard your own parents.”
- 2 On May 25, She prayed sincerely to heaven and earth that people’s transgressions would be resolved and that they would receive blessings.
- 3 Then, in the yard, She placed a table in each of the four directions. At each table, She placed a flag: in the east, a blue flag; in the west, a white flag; in the south, a red flag; and in the north, a black flag.
- 4 In the center of the yard, She placed a three-tiered table. At that table, She placed a large golden flag with two dragons on it, one blue and one yellow.
- 5 She had fifteen people, among whom was Jun Joon-yup, attend the blue flag.
- 6 She had another fifteen people, among whom was Ee Geun-mohk, attend the red flag.
- 7 She had another fifteen people, among whom was Gahng Wun-sup, attend the white flag.
- 8 She had yet another fifteen people, among whom was Go Chahn-hohng, attend the black flag.
- 9 She had fifty-five people, among whom was Go Min-hwahn, attend the golden flag.
- 10 She hung one big lantern and fourteen small lanterns above the center table, and She hung fifteen small lanterns above each of the other tables.
- 11 She had an offering of food laid out on each of the five tables and instructed many people to bow toward each of the tables.
- 12 She had them chant the Shee-chun-ju Mantra aloud; then, with one mind, She prayed to Sahng-jeh-nim that the transgressions of all people would be resolved and that blessings would be bestowed upon the entire world.
- 13 At this time, the flags in the four directions did not flutter, but the golden flag in the center flew vigorously, spraying drops of yellow water. Everyone’s clothes were stained yellow.
