- Po-gyo, the Great Work of Saving the World
- 1 “A catcher of thieves is called a po-gyo (捕校); therefore, call the work of conveying My teachings po-gyo (布敎).
- 2 Our work clears away all the injustice in the world. Those who people call heroes will be arrested.”
- Branch Out in all Directions
- 3 Sahng-jeh-nim said to Ho-yun, “People ought to branch out in all directions. If they branch out to places with few people, there will be only a few branches.
- 4 If you want to expand your mind, you should go where there are many people. Only then will you see and hear many things. Only the self-important and pretentious wish to stay by themselves.”
- 5 “Teacher, though there is only You, why are there so many followers?” Ho-yun asked.
- 6 “Though there is only Me, it is as if the branches of a tree are dividing.”
- When Sahng-jeh-nim Travels Abroad
- 7 Using the power of creative change, Sahng-jeh-nim traveled to many countries to conduct the work of renewal. Whenever He took Ho-yun with Him, she was amazed by the many new things she saw.
- 8 She once asked, “Why do You travel to so many countries?”
“I am examining people’s potential,” Sahng-jeh-nim replied.
- 9 Wherever He went, after asking the family names of the people He met, He would say, “Make sure the work is accomplished without fail.” He would then draw what looked like a flag on a sheet of paper, make a dot on it, and give it to them as a certificate.
