- Hwahng Eung-johng’s Faith
- 1 When Eung-johng’s son was ill and nearing death, Eung-johng prepared a bowl of fresh water and earnestly prayed for his son’s recovery, while facing toward the direction where Sahng-jeh-nim was staying. As a result, the son’s illness was soon healed.
- 2 The next day, Eung-johng went to Sahng-jeh-nim in Gu-rit-gohl Village. Sahng-jeh-nim said to him, “Yesterday, as I rode on a cloud, I looked down and saw you rubbing your hands together. What happened?”
- 3 When Eung-johng told Him what had happened, Sahng-jeh-nim laughed.
