- Blessing Yu Il-tae with a Son
- 1 Yu Il-tae, who was fifty years old, had six daughters, but no son. Having no son became a matter of deep grief for him.
- 2 In March 1923, he visited Tae-mo-nim, and She asked him about his well-being.
- 3 He answered, “Nothing bad has happened to me lately, but without wealth and without a son, I feel like dying.”
- 4 Tae-mo-nim reproached, “You think of dying because you have no son and no wealth! Go home and pray to Maitreya Buddha with all your heart.”
- 5 In apology, Il-tae bowed again and again in front of Tae-mo-nim and returned home the next day. He did as She instructed, and for the following several months, Maitreya Mountain appeared in his dreams.
- 6 After those months, his wife became pregnant and, in 1924, gave birth to a son.
