- Atoning for Humanity’s Transgressions
- 1 On March 9, 1926, speaking to Go Chahn-hohng, Jun Joon-yup, and several other disciples, Tae-mo-nim said,
- 2 “There is no one in this world who has not erred. Since they would otherwise perish, I will atone for their transgressions.”
- 3 She put down a bowl of fresh water and placed a ba-dook board in front of it. While She tapped on the board with Her long pipe, She had the disciples chant the Tae-eul Mantra.
- 4 She then collapsed on the floor and did not regain consciousness until half a day later.
- 5 When She did, She said, “Go out and look at the sky.”
- 6 They all saw a long dark streak of clouds stretching across the sky from south to north.
