- Granting Ui-tohng
- 1 Gyung-hahk could not refuse and came back in. Sahng-jeh-nim lay down and began suffering from different illnesses, one after another.
- 2 He said, “To give eternal health to everyone, I suffer these diseases on behalf of all people.”
- 3 For each disease, He suffered in pain for more than an hour. After suffering a particular illness, He would sit up suddenly and say, “I have found the cure.”
- 4 Finally, He declared, “The most dangerous of them all is the mysterious disease.” Later, He said,
- 8 “I have suffered all other diseases in humanity’s place, but I leave behind the mysterious disease.
- 9 For it, you will be granted ui-tohng.”
