- Ui-tohng Is the Mark of Wealth
- 1 That night, before lying down to sleep, Sahng-jeh-nim had all disciples except Gohng-ooh leave. Deep in the night, He said to Gohng-ooh, “Come close.”
- 2 Meanwhile, Gyung-suk was outside the room eavesdropping, thinking that Sahng-jeh-nim was about to give a secret order to Gohng-ooh. Gohng-ooh did not know Gyung-suk was there.
- 3 Sahng-jeh-nim asked, “Gohng-ooh, in the coming days, when the catastrophic disease sweeps across the world, how will you survive?”
- 4 “Without Your guidance, how could I survive?” Gohng-ooh replied.
- 5 “If you have ui-tohng, no disease can hurt you. It is the mark of wealth.”
- 6 Afraid he would be noticed, Gyung-suk left.
- 7 Sahng-jeh-nim continued, “Gohng-ooh, keep your lips as heavy as the Kunlun Mountains.
- 8 I will soon leave to conduct the work under heaven.”
- 9 “If there is a single day in which I do not serve You, my life has no meaning. Please allow me to follow You.”
- 10 Sahng-jeh-nim said in a warm voice, “Gohng-ooh, it is not a place for you to go.
- 11 In this world, many difficulties exist in doing the work under heaven. I will go to another place to carry it out.”
